The Evolution of Mating Disruption: Introducing Matester
Labor cost is a major concern for growers when applying mating disruption.
Because mating disruption works best across large areas, the time and effort involved are unavoidable.

To address this, Pherobio developed Matester, a product that can be hung with one hand.
It combines the hanger and the pheromone capsule into a single unit, removing the tedious hanging steps required by tube-type or sheet-type dispensers and significantly reducing labor costs.
The capsule also has a larger pheromone reservoir, allowing field release for up to 8 months.
Fewer units per hectare.
Conventional mating disruption products typically require around 500 units per hectare to effectively control pest populations, whereas Matester needs only 25–120 units per hectare, depending on the pest species.

Smaller size.
The all-in-one design greatly reduces product volume and saves space during transportation.
Registered in key markets.
Matester holds a CERTIFICATE OF REGISTRATION in South Africa, Canada, Chile, Türkiye, Mexico, and the EU, giving users added peace of mind.
Target pests.
Matester currently targets fruit tree pests, covering six species: CM, OFM, EGVM, TUTA, FCM, and MNB. Exact usage rates vary by pest.

Pherobio is committed to developing and producing products that support sustainable agriculture.
